GB&U: Quiet Night in the Old Town

RESULT: Nats lose to Giants 10-1.

GOOD: Jesus Colome. You know it's been a bad night what Colome's taking home this award. Still, he went three innings of one-hit, one-walk shutout baseball with 3 Ks. Solid work for the long man out of the pen.

BAD: Aaron Boone. 0-for-4 leaves him at .263 overall. Don't look now, but Aaron's being overexposed. There's a reason he hasn't been starting in the bigs for a while. It's not his fault he's been pressed into regular duty. But it'snot our fault either, and we still have to watch all this.

UGLY: Jason Bergmann. What more can you say. Welcome back to planet Earth? Wow, was he hit hard. And when he wasn't being hit hard, he was walking the pitcher with the bases loaded. Manny got all up in his face too on the mound before lifting him. That had to be a big confidence builder.

NEXT GAME: Tonight. Game Two of the weekend series with the Giants. Shawn Hill (0-2, 4.67) against Jonathan Sanchez (4-3, 4.08). Sanchez is a high K guy, I'll put the over/under at 9.5.
