This is not about the Nationals, but it is about baseball. Big League Stew on Yahoo Sports has an interview with Mike Mussina, my second favorite baseball player of all-time. Please enjoy.
Mussina won his 16th game of the season last night, and has that elusive 20-win mark within his reach this season. It's completely irrational to say a player has had less of a career if he hasn't won 20 games in one season, especially in this day and age. It's a completely different game now, and pitchers need to have a lot of things go their way to win 20 games today.
He has 265 wins, a lifetime .637 winning percentage, six gold gloves, five all-star selections and has spent his entire career in the AL East.
Best of luck and health to Moose the rest of the way in. I hope he wins all of his starts -- and the Yankees still not make the playoffs.
